This place is both beautiful and heartwrenching and a true example of the wonders of the internet. Reading these posts have been more healing for me as a fellow survivor than any attempt at therapy. Every single person who has been brave enough to post their story and retake their power and worth has a place in my heart. I sat up all night and read every single one, some were incredibly painful because it hit too close and yet the words gave me pieces of myself back..because in seeing the beauty and strength of the authors, I was seeing myself too. Someday I hope I can take that gift and give it back by writing my own story because for 13 years I have longed to tell all of it but have never felt safe enough to trust that it would be met with kind words and understanding, that I am not the disgusting acts forced onto me. This place gives me courage to think that maybe I can finally tell it all and the telling will free me from it. What you have done here is amazing.
