I'm so glad to hear that the school and police treated you with respect and that you found relief. I'm so sorry it took your Grandfather's confession to bring your family to your side--you didn't deserve that. No one deserves any of this.

Hugs and love to you. Know that you are not alone in your struggle. I am 43 years old and after many, many years of therapy, I was able to forgive the many people whom failed me. But most of all, I was able to learn to forgive myself for all my bad thoughts, all my dislike of myself. I won't tell you it's easy but know, you are Braver, Stronger and that you have joined a group whom will support you with whatever you need. Find someone you can talk to. Get help, it's out there. My Mantra for 2012 is "Love Me, First" and Babygirl please know, YOU, are worth loving and what has happened to you does not define you and does not make you less of a person.
